Robert Flowers

Writing

Robert is the son of a paraplegic Vietnam veteran from the East Coast and a school teacher from central Mexico. He writes underdog characters who face off against institutional corruption. This is often through the lens of a mentor/mentee relationship. That could be a parent-child, or a wise veteran and young upstart. Often with a genre bent. His sports thriller recently won best thriller pilot at the Big Apple Film Festival in NYC. It was the winner of the ISA fast track fellowship this spring as well as making me a Blacklist-recommended writer. As a director, his short HONOR’S HALF-LIFE won best thriller in chandler international film festival and was picked up for distribution by DUST on YouTube. When he's not writing, he's shooting live heart surgeries in operating rooms all over the country. He's never fainted at the sight of blood except his own.
